Chef/owner Michael Kornick offers a conservative, stylish environment combined with creative dishes to thrill a contemporary casual crowd at the MK Restaurant in Chicago.  There is a feel as though you are dining in a loft, with exposed brick and wood beams, in a three level, two story building decorated in muted colors of greens and grays.  The menu changes constantly, with choices such as grilled quail with frisee (with bacon and green beans) or a combination of whitefish and lobster drowned in cream sauce of sweet corn, mushrooms, and pancetta.  Try the frites with basil, rosemary, and oregano, dipped in truffle cream.  Pastry Chef Mindy Segal’s signature dessert a thte MK Restaurant in Chicago is a combination of warm banana coffee cake and cold banana sherbet, drizzled with butterscotch and chocolate sauce.
